Auto detailing refers to a complete, hand-done cleaning and restoration of a vehicle using professional products matched to each material. It's more than a quick wash: every surface, every corner, and every material is treated individually rather than run through the same process.
At Chic Lave-Auto, auto detailing is our most complete package: it combines the interior cleaning and exterior wash into a single visit, with the option to add paint correction or a protective coating depending on the vehicle's condition and goals.
Detailing versus a quick wash
A quick wash aims to make a car look clean in a short amount of time: rinse, soap, a light vacuum. Auto detailing goes further, treating each material according to its actual needs — leather isn't cleaned like fabric, and wheels aren't treated like body paint.
It's also a matter of method: hand washing with the two-bucket technique, blotting rather than rubbing when drying to avoid micro-scratches, and inspection under dedicated lighting to catch defects a quick wash would miss.

Ceramic coating or Opti-Shield liquid PPF?
Ceramic coating
For gloss, water beading and easier washing. The 1, 3 and 5-year options require suitable maintenance. Ceramic coating does not prevent stone chips or deep scratches.
PPF liquid Opti-Shield
A liquid coating applied with an applicator, never a brush, for additional protection of exposed areas. It is not a pre-cut film and does not replace physical protection against major impacts. Coverage and timing are confirmed after evaluation.
